In comparison to the 2011 season, the team will see this season less WRC action. Peter van Merksteijn sr. will open the season during the famous Rallye Monte-Carlo that will start next week in the French town of Valance. His son Peter jr. will start in February in Sweden for his first rally of the year. In addition to these two events, the team will also take part in the WRC rounds in Portugal and Germany and possibly as well in Wales and Italy. In addition, the team would like to compete more in national rallies and regional events like in Germany and Belgium.

The Citroën DS3 WRC with which father and son Pater van Merksteijn will take be at the start this season will have again a very distinctive design. Beside the Van Merksteijn name and the purple colour, the new livery of the DS3 WRC will be dominated by the team’s main sponsor, the Riva Group from Italy.
